Big blast in Long Island on June 1st

As promised, here’s some news! We are very excited to finally be able to announce that we will be coming back to Long Island on June 1 at Revolution in Amnityville to share the the stage with Ghostwolf (with SA Martinez of 311) and Coolie Ranx (of The Pilfers)!! Sadly, along with that show we will be saying goodbye to our good friend and bandmate, Mike Argondizza. This makes this show the last of Go For Launch as you know us. We will continue writing and playing as we start a search for a new drummer … So there’s the good news and the bad news. Come out to catch some great music and show some love as we wish Mike all the best in his future endeavors.

Returning to Boston: 4/20 @ Church of Boston

And back to Boston we go! On April 20th, we will be back at Church of Boston with a whole night of killer music. Eight Feet Tall, El Grande, and Soul Rebel Project will be performing as well to assist in your April 20th musical soothing. Tickets are available for purchase through our store. All tickets ordered will be available for pickup at WILL CALL at the venue. I know there’s nothing more you want than to order your tickets are sleep soundly and even spoon with them until the day of the show. However, trust me, the guy or gal taking your ticket at the door doesn’t want to grab your genital-stenched paper pass. They’ll hold it for you instead. Not your genitals.

The date quickly approaches! This Saturday we will be making our long awaited return to Sullivan Hall in NYC. There are a bunch of great bands lined up including our friends in CLEAR FOR TAKEOFF! Now, how perfect of a combination is that?!?! Be sure to catch us there as we’ll be playing some new tunes, some of which will be included on various compilation CDs we are fortunate to be a part of.

We are heading back to Sullivan Hall on March 23rd. Let’s talk about a line up…. There are 5 other bands who will blow your mind-ginas.

Jared Weintraub, Lovelectric, Capital Moustache, La La Lush, and CLEAR FOR TAKEOFF.

We met Clear for Takeoff in Maryland for a show and those dudes are awesome. This is going to be a great night and awesome return to Sullivan Hall. For those who attended the last Sullivan Hall show, you know it was CCRRRAAAAZZZZYY! Come join us.

Happy new year all! Hopefully all your festivities and shenanigans went well. Now recovering from all hangovers and food comas, we have some great shows lined up thus far. We are performing at Wintour’s 2013 Exposed Music Festival on January 13 @ Dingbats in Clifton, NJ. Great bands will be performing such as ionia and Saint Diablo. Tickets are available through our store on the links in the top banner on our site.

Then right around the bend, on January 20th, we will be performing at Church in Boston, MA with For Sleeping or Jumping and the amazing DAS MUERTE!

THE APOCALYPSE APPROACHES!

With the end of days rearing its head around the corner, we should take the time to go through our check list of equipment needed for the end.

FOOD AND BREWS!

And alas, we are your official supplier for all your post-apocalyptic, zombie fighting, UFO-beaming, chupacabra avoiding, Carrot Top killing needs. First up, we are performing at Captain Lawrence Brewery’s WRECK THE HALLS! As a huge fan of their brews, this is a mega treat for some of us.

Coincidentally, we will be fighting on the front lines of whatever hellish events happen to end humanity. On December 21, 2012 we will be performing with Ballyhoo! at Long Island’s REVOLUTION! Along with Echo Movement, Hazmat Bay, and Shades of Fred. Be sure to catch us, and the last of your fellow humans, this night. It may be our last.

Well, November has certainly been quite the month for some of the most wild weather on the East Coast. Our manager has been working tirelessly organizing donations for her family and the other residents of Breezy Point, Queens, NY, which has been devastated by Hurricane Sandy. That Sandy was one hell of a bitch. Not naming any kids or pets Sandy from here on. Following that, nothing like 2 feet of snow to just make you feel all warm inside. Though, while being locked indoors avoiding the impending apocalyptic Mayan projection of the end of days, we have lined up a whole slew of shows to bring some rock back into the world. We even have a show on the scheduled END OF THE WORLD date of December 21st. Why not go out with a bang?! Ja know?! All shows after that date, check back to see if we’re still here. Or something like that. We envision the end of the world to be like Mad Max. Can’t wait. Except we barter in music!

Happy birthday to us! It really feels like last week we were in the GFL basement just making noise, freezing our nethers off, and writing songs because we love it.
